2026 Impact so far...
- Provide Administrative support to the MLK Committee which has raised over $7,000 for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Interfaith Scholarship. The scholarship is continuing to collect donations and applications are available online for graduating high school seniors in the Capital Area to apply.
- Provide Administrative support to the CROP Walk Committee as they prepare for the 2026 John U. Miller CROP Walk. The Rally is scheduled for March 22nd at 3 PM at The First Church in Albany, and the CROP Walk will be held on May 3rd at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. We have also connected two new groups with the CROP Walk.
- Act as Treasurer for the Interfaith Prayer Room at Albany Airport.
- Offers scholarships seminarians that are part of a member church and attending a Protestant seminary
- The Shelter has provided shelter to:
- November - 28 guests and 168 bed nights
- December - 33 guests and 416 bed nights
- January - 30 guests and 458 bed nights
- We coordinated a Serving your Neighbors Collaboratively (SYNC) event at The First Church where local human services agencies provided referrals to community members in need.
- On January 21st I facilitated the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service hosted by the Roman Catholic Diocese’s Commission on Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs.
- We held our Annual Meeting on January 22nd at Christ’s Church with over 25 in attendance.
- We coordinated a Church Leadership Breakfast, hosted by the Salvation Army of Albany, on Wednesday February 25th. The next breakfast will be held on April 22nd, hosted by St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church.
- Peter Crasto-Donnelly was one of the panel speakers for the Roman Catholic Dioceses Peace and Justice Commission’s Democracy, Dialogue, and Dignity forum.
- We facilitated a group of churches in Colonie gathering to meet one another and discuss community needs. The group decided that they wanted to continue to regularly meet.
- We participate in meetings held by Serve Albany and Faith Leaders and Stake Holders to learn about community needs and share information.
- Peter Crasto-Donnelly facilitated a meeting between the Executive Directors of CACC, FOCUS, and TAUM as we are organizations with similar missions and histories. We have decided to continue to meet monthly in fellowship and to share information.
- Peter Crasto-Donnelly met with partners Albany Maritime Ministry, Cornerstone Campus Ministry, and seven church leaders to discuss areas for collaboration or to share information.
- We are developing a Vendor listing called “Angel’s List” of preferred vendors recommended by member churches.
- We have created a community events page on our website to share information from our member churches.
